WINDOW SURFACE PRO 4 — Users tend to use this gadget like a desktop. Should the Window Surface Pro 4 experience a long update, users may find the product failure on the LCD as show in Picture 1. This issue can be resolved by turning off Window Surface Pro 4 with force shutdown by pressing the power button and volume up button until completely turned off. Wait for 5 minutes. Users can switch the device on again once the device cools down.

In forums, there is much discussion about the firmware software that can resolve the problem of Window Surface Pro 4 LCD Vibrating Loudly and Appearing Shadowed when Overheated. However, I was sceptical about the information presented. I conducted my own experiment by buying 10 new original Surface Pro LCDs from the factory and used each of them continuously for 4-5 hours to ensure that the Surface Pro overheats.

What was observed was that 7 of the LCDs started to vibrate and appeared shadowed. This confirmed that the issue lies within the Surface Pro 4 LCD, and not the firmware. Perhaps the firmware can reduce the speed of the Surface Pro, or the power from the battery could be reduced should the Surface Pro 4 rise to a high enough heat level. This will ultimately reduce heat in the logicboard.

I hope that the 2018 Window Surface Pro 5 will change the design. The CPU should be close to the fan, unlike the Window Surface Pro 4 which has the fan on the left and the CPU on the right. This new design would make more sense unlike the design of the Window Surface Pro 4.
