Have You ever thinking about having the same setting and data on old Macbook iMac's harddisk ssd to a new Macbook iMac, i am sure many of You only think about Time Machine :) the problem with Time Machine is You need to upgrade Your Mac Osx to the lastest one thus some of Your older apps may be compromise.

The solution to carbon copy or clone Mac operating system in a harddisk ssd to a new Macbook iMac is using Superduper (10 over years ago of nostalgic feeling copying Mac Osx 10.6) version 3.3.1 which is usable even in Catalina. How to use Superduper to copy all Your Applications and data to a newer Macbook or iMac without Time Machine:

1. Install Superduper into Your current harddisk ssd.
2. Take out Your current Mac's harddisk or ssd and get a reader for it.
3. Plug in Your reader to Your new Mac and press the power button.
4. Once You turn it on press and hold the "Option" key until You see orange option to boot up from.
5. Click it then You will see Your old Mac running on Your new Mac via reader.
6. Open up Superduper software choose Your current harddisk sdd and copy it to the new harddisk ssd like Picture 1.

If You put in Your Reader there is a circle with line in the middle that means Your older Mac is far too old to run on Your new Mac, so please take note there are four jumps of hardware in Mac compatibility issue. They are 1. Mac 10.5 and below due to completely different harddisk ssd format 2. Mac 10.8 to Mac 10.11 due to ram DDR2 memory 3. 10.13 due to end of line in the Mac production year 2011 and below 4. 10.14 up to current.
